Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the GratitudeLock mobile application ("the App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using GratitudeLock, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Description of the App

GratitudeLock is a mobile application that encourages daily gratitude journaling. The App includes a phone-access mechanism that prompts users to complete their daily gratitude entries. The App is available on iOS and Android.

3. Use of the App

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Use the App in any way that could harm or impair the App or interfere with other users' experience
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the App
  • Use the App for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent

4. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

GratitudeLock may offer premium features available through one-time purchases or subscriptions, processed via Apple App Store or Google Play. All purchases are subject to the terms and conditions of those platforms.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your App Store or Google Play account settings.

We do not offer refunds for purchases, except where required by applicable law or platform policies.

5. Your Content

All journal entries and personal data you create within GratitudeLock are stored locally on your device. You retain full ownership of your content. We do not access, use, or share your journal entries.

You are solely responsible for maintaining a backup of your data. We are not liable for any loss of data due to device failure, app deletion, or other circumstances.

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, graphics, text, and underlying code, is owned by GratitudeLock and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App without our prior written consent.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

GratitudeLock is a wellness tool and is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice. If you are experiencing mental health difficulties, please seek support from a qualified professional.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GratitudeLock shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
